Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Government Affairs, Hon (Chief) Peter Uviejitobor JP, has said that partnership between the Executive and Legislative arms of the government of Delta State has been very rewarding.

Speaking on the One Year Anniversary of the 8th Delta State Assembly, Hon Uviejitobor stated that the MORE agenda of Governor Oborevwori would not have been so impactful in the life of the state without partnership with the legislature.

Uviejitobor, a former Member of the State Assembly who represented Udu Constituency between 2015 – 2023, said the three core mandates of the legislature which centered on peace, good governance and socio-economiic wellbeing of the state, were being fulfilled by the Lawmakers.

Uviejitobor commended the Speaker, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, his team of Principal Officers and members, for their efforts towards achieving greater and sustainable development in the state.

The Special Adviser on Government Affairs assured the Assembly that the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, will continue to effectively collaborate with the House in the implementation of policies and programmes of the state government.

Uviejitobor called for stronger synergy between the legislature and the Executive in the “Advancing Delta Project” of the Oborevwori’s administration, stressing that the MORE agenda is on course.

“I am convinced that the 8th Assembly of the Delta State House of Assembly has achieved so much within a year. Eighteen Bills and several motions within a year is no mean feat. I congratulate the Speaker and his colleagues for the achievement.

“The love, respect and cooperation among members of the State House of Assembly are commendable. Unlike some other States’ Houses of Assembly in the federation, Delta is peaceful and focused in their legislative activities.

“I look forward to a more peaceful, focused and robust Assembly in the coming legislative session. As a former Lawmaker and now Special Adviser on Government Affairs, I am so much interested in the stability of the House”, Uviejitobor stated.
